Add-On Services

We also offer a variety of add-on or stand alone services if you want a more customizable lawn care service. Some of the extra services that we offer are:

Aeration

We use a hollow tined core aerator to remove plugs from the lawn. This allows oxygen, nutrients, and water to reach the root system. Some added benefits of aeration are the reduction in the amount of thatch in the lawn, reducing the amount of compaction, encourages root growth, and allows the lawn to recover from stress quicker. The plugs left on the surface and the holes in the turf creates plenty of surface area for new seed if you decide to overseed at this time.

Overseeding

Done in combination with aeration, overseeding will help fill in those thin lawns are bare areas in the lawn. We encourage overseeding in the fall unless you have an irrigation system or plan on watering throughout the summer, if so you may overseed in spring but beware of summer drought and temperature stress on young grass seed.

Grub Control

Preventative which is done from June to July and Curative in September and October if you are noticing grub damage. The curative application can generally be done and still have some effects on grubs until the middle of October but the preventative application during summer is the most effective application.

Lime Applications

Lime will help bring an acidic soil back to the optimum soil ph level of 6-7 for turfgrass. In order to know the proper amount of lime to put down a soil test will also need to be done.
